Details

Mamma Leone is a relaxed Italian restaurant in the heart of Saint-Tropez. True Italian know-how - pizzas handcrafted by pizzaiolos from Naples and Sicily, trained in traditional techniques.

It’s a simple place where good pizza and good company come together by the sea, with football always on in the background.

Our task was straightforward: create an identity inspired by the essence of Sicily while embracing the urban spirit of Naples. Contemporary, yet timeless.

At the heart of Mamma Leone’s identity is a hand drawn lion - the “Leone” of Saint Mark, symbol of Venice - reinterpreted for the Mediterranean. It reflects the founder’s roots and connects the restaurant to a broader regional heritage.

The logotype features custom lettering inspired by the cursive, handcrafted signage found across Italian streets.

Our brief was to create an identity for a tour company based out of the Swiss alps. We took inspiration from the mountain culture and the natural surrounding of the Valais region to design an identity which reflected the colours and essence of the region in a simple, elevated yet approachable design.
